We hear that stress is part of modern life - or IS it? Some people have improved their lives by using a few simple routines, and I would like to share some of these with you, learned from others and my own experiences.
Actually some level of "stress" or tension is beneficial for us in keeping us involved and active. It's when things build up on us that we feel "out of control" or "stressed".
We can look at stress in two simple ways -
- Stress coming from something not easily fixed. Things that seem beyond our control can cause big worries and can be hard to do anything about - but even then there is something you can do to make things more bearable. We will look at that later.
- Stress coming from things we do, or don't do. Things we CAN do something about - so first, we will work with things that are within our control.
There are some SIMPLE things you can do to avoid many daily glitches, and they won't cost you much if anything. Simple ROUTINES will work wonders.
It was Thoreau who wrote: "Our life is frittered away by detail - simplify, simplify."
